LSU Sophomore CB Tyrann Mathieu Already Has a Heisman Vote

Tyrann Mathieu is good.  I mean, really good.  So good that he is the playmaker on the defense of the #1 team in the nation, and is already being considered a top 5 pick in the 2013 draft.

With all that said, I was still surprised to see that he is already getting Heisman consideration.  On ESPN’s Heisman watch Mathieu comes in at the #10 position with just one fifth place vote.

Normally this wouldn’t be a story but he hasn’t even played half of  his sophomore season!  If you don’t know the name Tyrann Mathieu I suggest you get real familiar.  He’s going to be making big plays for the next year and it is no out the question that he ends up the #1 overall pick in 2013.  I would not be surprised if that happened, not at all.
