Giants Scouts Reportedly Eyeing Shedeur Sanders as Future QB1
The buzz around Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow, and...
Tom Coughlin survives another year as head coach of the Giants. The Giants have failed to meet expectations since becoming one of the NFL’s power teams after winning a Superbowl a few seasons ago. Outsiders say it may be Coughlin’s demanding coaching style, though that shouldn’t be an issue. The Giants have enough talent, especially on offense to win another Lombardi Trophy.
Places where the G-Men need help are at running back, defensive tackle, and along the offensive line. So who will they draft?
1. Mark Ingram RB Alabama
If the Giants are in the position to get a top running back they should seriously consider it. Brandon Jacobs is not getting any younger and with his running style he is only going to last but so long. Ahmad Bradshaw is one of the league’s better backs but even he cannot take the pounding of an eventual 18 game season by himself once Jacobs is gone. Ingram fixes those problems and eventually becomes the starter.
2. Anthony Castonzo OT Boston College
Eli Manning is only going to continue to be the “good” Eli if he gets time to throw. Castonzo will challenge Beatty from day 1 for the starting left tackle position.
3. Martez Wilson ILB Illinois
Martez Wilson disappointed at his pro day but many are still high on him. Wilson is one of the best inside linebackers in this class, and would be a replacement for retired former starting inside linebacker Antonio Pierce.
