Ashton Jeanty has rapidly established himself as one of the most...
He came, he saw, he conquered. Rapper J. Cole has announced he is ending his stint with the Rwanda Patriots after appearing in 5 games for just a total of 45 minutes.
The rapper turned hooper was called out on social media by the BAL’s top scorer for “taking up a spot” and ultimately decided that it was time to head back to the states.
Cole was only signed to play 3 to 6 games so he fulfilled his end of the deal. No matter how you feel about his play it was pretty cool to see Cole out there with real hoopers getting it in.
Details on Cole leaving the Basketball Africa League below:
Rapper J. Cole of the Rwanda Patriots BBC has completed his contractual obligation to the Basketball Africa League and has departed from Rwanda because of a “family obligation,” a source told ESPN’s The Undefeated.
Jermaine Cole had 5 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds in 45 minutes of three preliminary games. The expectation was that the Grammy Award-winning rapper would play in three to six games. The Patriots BBC play Mozambique’s Ferroviario de Maputo in the playoff quarterfinals on Thursday.
