Shilo Sanders Draft Stock Takes Hit After Struggles Versus K-State
Known for his hard-hitting style, Shilo Sanders has been criticized for...
The Ravens put up a good fight against the Chargers in Wild Card Weekend, but they still lost. Lamar Jackson looked like the rookie he is but eventually Baltimore was able to climb back into thanks to their veteran playmakers.
With the loss, the Ravens have some retooling to do. What will they do?
Cowboysfan hits us with his latest picks.
His 2019 Baltimore Ravens mock draft below:
Ravens are interesting, they have a good team, but they are incredibly old. They need to have a good draft, otherwise it can be problem.
1. Ravens: Riley Ridley WR Georgia
Round 1 The Ravens need playmakers on offense. You like Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst. But their WR are so-so. Ridley is going to rise up draft boards as the draft nears. He was underutilized at Georgia. He is going to be a productive WR. He’s a little bigger than his brother at 6’1″ 207 lbs. He isn’t blazing fast, but has adequate speed. He is actually a good route runner out the gate. Not quite the route runner Calvin is, but he’s advanced for his years. He is a tough guy to bring down. Can struggle against press.
2. Ravens: Isaiah Johnson CB Houston
Round 3 The Ravens can’t afford to let their defense get any worse. They are very old by NFL standards. So they grab Johnson. Johnson is a lengthy CB at 6’2″, he’s skinny, but surprisingly tackles well. Excels in man coverage, but tends to give up some in zone. He is more physical than his frame suggests, but he needs to get bigger to handle stronger WR.
3. Ravens: Johnathan Abram S Mississippi State
Round 4 Probably the most physical S in this class. He will lay you out. He is good in coverage with underneath routes. Plays best when the play is in front of him. Can over pursue causing him to take bad angles. Doesn’t always wrap up. Can get beat over the top, as he lacks ideal tracking skills down the field.
4. Ravens: Jaylen Smith WR Louisville
Round 5 Jaylen Smith is a taller WR that has elite level speed. His lack of route running ability will push him further down the board. Ravens need playmakers, just grab as many as you can.
