Stephen Ross Sold on Tua, Fires Brian Flores Because He Wanted Deshaun Watson

Stephen Ross recently let head coach Brian Flores go and discussed with the media why the decision was made. According to Ross, he is a fan of Tua as his starter and Flores’ pursuit of Watson did not influence the decision to let Brian go.

Here is what the Dolphins owner said on firing Brian Flores for Tua:

“First of all, let me be clear, it played no role in it at all. I have a lot of confidence in Tua and I think the next head coach will work with him or whoever else. But I have a lot of confidence in him. I watched him grow. He’s a fine young man, and he is our quarterback and will be dependent upon our new head coach but I have a lot of confidence in Tua.”
