Shilo Sanders Draft Stock Takes Hit After Struggles Versus K-State
Known for his hard-hitting style, Shilo Sanders has been criticized for...
A lot is going on with the Dallas Cowboys going into 2018-2019.
Should they stand for the anthem? Should they sit? Is Jerry Jones going to punish players?
We don’t have any answers right now but we do know Jerry makes the decisions in Dallas. How will he decide to draft in 2019? Well, Cowboysfan has provided his latest 2019 Cowboys mock draft for our eyes.
2019 Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft Picks below:
1. Cowboys: Deebo Samuel WR South Carolina
If Dallas needs a WR that means that Beasley did not improve from the previous season and Allen Hurns was not what he was expected to be. I do think Gallup is the guy going forward, but he does need a running mate. Samuel is around 6’0″ that has okay speed, but really good hands. He’s more of a possession receiver, but can accelerate fairly quickly turning small gains into bigger ones. I just don’t think he’s a take the top off a defense type of player. There is no question though that he will catch everything thrown his way. If you want excitement then Deebo isn’t for you, but if you simply want a good player you take Samuel.
2. Cowboys: Marquise Brown WR Oklahoma
I like Gallup, but I think the perfect compliment is a speedy guy as opposed to a possession WR. Brown is about 5’11”, but he has insane speed to the point that he is a threat to take it to the house on any play. Think Tyreke Hill type of ability. He isn’t as good, but he provides that type of play. Unfortunately he isn’t very strong, and he’s dangerously close to 170 lbs. I worry about his ability to stay healthy when getting hit by defender in the NFL.
3. Cowboys: Noah Fant TE Iowa
I don’t think anyone really expected for Witten to retire. He left the Cowboys in a bad spot with the TEs they have on their roster. They have a combined 9 catches among them, so I wouldn’t be surprised if TE becomes the number 1 priority for the Cowboys next offseason. Fant has good size, can block fairly well, and catches the ball well. If anything this is a Vernon Davis type player. He’s a little taller, and a little slower though. But he can run past CB with the speed he does have.
4. Cowboys: Raekwon Davis DT Alabama
DT is a need that is silently creeping up. Irving is very talented, but inconsistency and off teh field issues make him unreliable. Maliek Collins started off well as a rookie, but has been held back due to recent injuries. So Dt is a bigger need than we all thought. Some might think Davis falling into the teens is crazy, but as of right now Davis is mostly potential and not current ability. He’s a freak with good pass rush ability, but is surprisingly weaker on the run stopping end. He has shown flashes of elite ability, but it’s not consistent enough. This could push him down the boards.
