Shilo Sanders Draft Stock Takes Hit After Struggles Versus K-State
Known for his hard-hitting style, Shilo Sanders has been criticized for...
15. Colts: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama
Let me say this: Jonathan Allen is not the 15th best player in this draft. I have him at #3 and the Colts recognize this and jump on him. He is a big time defensive playmaker, and you find a way to fit him in.
16. Ravens: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee
For a team that really continues to be dominant on defense, it seems like they can get better at rushing the passer. Barnett is a scary sight for quarterbacks at the next level.
17. Redskins: Jabrill Peppers S Michigan
The biggest wildcard in the draft is Jabril Peppers. Any team can pull the trigger on his elite versatility and athletic ability, it’s just a matter of who. Washington can use help in the secondary, as well as at linebacker, so Peppers could be their guy here.
18. Titans: O.J. Howard TE Alabama
O.J. Howard isn’t just the best TE prospect this year, he is the best TE prospect of the past 5 years. A true do-it-all guy, Tennessee adds him to pair up with Delanie Walker.
19. Buccaneers: Montravius Adams DT Auburn
Tampa Bay has a lot of talented guys on defense, like pro bowlers Gerald Mccoy and Lavonte David, but they continue to get beat up in the ground game and Adams can help with that.
20. Broncos: Ryan Ramczyk OT Wisconsin
In my opinion, the only glaring need for Denver is the offensive line (And QB, but they don’t think so). The quickest way to build your offense is by drafting offensive lineman, and Ramczyk is certainly a talent.
21. Lions: Takkarist McKinley DE UCLA
I like the idea of McKinley on the other side of Ziggy Ansah. How do you stop 2 dominant pass rushers on one play? Thats what Takkarist has the potential to be.
22. Dolphins: Forrest Lamp OT Western Kentucky
The biggest reach of the draft so far, Miami can use help on the interior of the line with guys leaving. Lamp is a high upside guy, that many are comparing to Zack Martin. The transition to guard should be easy for him.
23. Giants: Jarrad Davis OLB Florida
If there is one weakness for NYG, it is their offensive line. The biggest position they need to improve, however, is linebacker. An athletic Davis can be a building block to locking up their last piece on defense.
24. Raiders: Gareon Conley, CB-Ohio State
Oakland really doesn’t have a glaring need. They might be the most balanced team in the league. But with a lot of talent at CB in this draft, and a bit of an underperforming year by the Raiders corners, Conley is a must have.
25. Texans: DeShone Kizer QB Notre Dame
This one is pretty wide-open. Houston obviously needs a QB. Osweiler was garbage last year, and the leafs they can do is bring in some competition to light a fire under him. Kizer can even sit behind Brock for a year or 2 until he’s ready, and the watch out.
26. Seahawks: Garrett Bolles, OT- Utah
Insert Offensive lineman to Seattle here.
27. Chiefs: Charles Harris DE Missouri
Best player available. Their defense wasn’t as good as people thought last year.
28. Cowboys: David Njoku, TE- Miami
My favorite pick in the first round, Dallas would be really smart to add a playmaking TE to learn behind the Hall of Famer for a year or 2.
29. Packers: Desmond King CB Iowa
Whether he’s at corner or safety, he’s a fit for the Packers.
30. Steelers: Tim Williams OLB Alabama
A bona fide beast at Alabama, he fits the biggest need for the Steelers.
31. Falcons: Malik McDowell DT Michigan State
An athletic specimen, the Falcons like gambling on these types of players.
32. Patriots: Christian McCaffrey RB Stanford
I’m going to roll with this selection until I hear otherwise. Personally, I like McCaffrey, so that only means he’ll end up torturing my Jets as a member of the Brady gang.
