5. Panthers: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

Based on where we pick now this wouldn’t make sense in the first, but if we start playing better potentially he could be a fit or he could potentially fall to us in the 2nd

6. Panthers: Jalen Tabor CB Florida

In my opinion our need at corner is overstated as Bradbury is playing well and has shown potential to be a #1 corner and Worley has potential as evidenced by his play on Evans outside of that 1 touchdown, but Tabor has shutdown corner potential which could be tempting to Gettleman.

7. Panthers: Jabrill Peppers S Michigan

Arguably the most versatile player and potentially the best athlete in the draft but not truly a good fit for us as we already have good linebackers and he isn’t really a safety but more like a Deone Buchanan in arizona

8. Panthers: O.J. Howard TE Alabama

Potentially a perfect fit as he could present the panthers with a replacement for Olsen in the future and would also be very helpful now as he could allow us to go with even more two TE sets than we currently do as he is a perfect fit as he is a blend of size and speed and is also a good blocker as shown through his time at Alabama. Would be a great value in the 2nd round.

9. Panthers: Dalvin Cook RB FSU

If Fournette is gone and we pick in the 10-20 range Cook could also be an ideal fit for us as he would help when Stewart is gone and or when he gets hurt while also being a good value.
