Shilo Sanders Draft Stock Takes Hit After Struggles Versus K-State
Known for his hard-hitting style, Shilo Sanders has been criticized for...
5. Redskins: Christian Tago ILB San Jose State
Rd. 4, Pick 125. The Redskins select ILB Christian Tago 6-0, 238 Lbs. Tago has been one of my favorite players in my evaluation process. A solid three down linebacker Tago excels in pass coverage against TE’s and RB’s. A solid run defender, fills holes quickly and is a reliable tackler. High effort, non-stop motor, doesn’t give up on plays.
6. Redskins: B.J. Singleton DT Houston
Rd. 5, Pick 156. The Redskins select DT B.J. Singleton 6-3, 305 Lbs. Singleton is a solid run defender with some pass rush ability. Solid size, plays with good leverage and stays low, hard to move out of his space. Needs to show a consistent pass rush this year for his stock to rise.
7. Redskins: Kyle Fuller C Baylor
Rd. 6, Pick 200. The Redskins select C Kyle Fuller 6-4, 315 Lbs. Moves well for his size and plays with solid technique, but is still a work in progress as he will have to adjust to the pro game.
8. Redskins: Dion Dawkins OT Temple
Rd. 6, Pick 204. The Redskins select OT/G Dion Dawkins 6-5, 320 Lbs. Dawkins has shown great commitment to improve himself as a player the last two years and it is starting to payoff. The Redskins would be wise to draft a swing tackle in the later rounds to develop. Dawkins has good size and length to work with to go with his can do attitude. He should be a solid pro with the right coaching and maybe a starter someday.
9. Redskins: Dawuane Smoot DE Illinois
Rd. 7, Pick 241. The Redskins select DE Dawuane Smoot 6-3, 268 Lbs. Smoot is a bit of an egnigma at this point in the ranking process. Smoot falls into that tweener category that is hard to evaluate. Smoot has talent and will definitely be drafted. You have got to find a player like this a position. He should be gone well before the seventh round in my opinion. Excellent pass rusher might make him best suited as a 34 OLB.
