Giants Scouts Reportedly Eyeing Shedeur Sanders as Future QB1
The buzz around Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow, and...
Who will be the best quarterback from the 2015 draft class? As we get closer to the draft things undoubtedly will change but for now let’s get to breaking down some of these prospects one-by-one. Of course these rankings are sure to be 100% wrong, but my track record says that I should be somewhat accurate when it is all said and done.
Enough talking, here are my current rankings (always check the rankings page to see the latest ranks):
1. Jameis Winston, Florida State
The #1 prospect. Legitimate NFL arm, great timing, athleticism, and uncanny pain tolerance. He is a natural leader. Only question is his off the field life. Will he step up as a leader or revert to his usual string of antics?
2. Marcus Mariota, Oregon
Great athleticism. Legitimate speed. Can he adjust to a NFL scheme? Should a coach even ask him to adjust? May possibly best fit in a spread offense initially.
3. Brett Hundley, UCLA
Good prospect, mechanics are inconsistent. A year ago looked like one of the best passers in the nation. Injuries concerns have arisen. Great athleticism and no character issues.
4. Garrett Grayson, Colorado State
Haven’t seen much of him, I’ll be honest…
5. Dak Prescott, Mississippi State
Possibly the next Tim Tebow. Mechanics are not ready to ask him to make a high level of professional throws. Great size and power when running with the ball. Developmental prospect.
6. Bryce Petty, Baylor
Spread quarterback. Great stats, good size. Rhythm passer. Not mobile.
7. Shane Carden, East Carolina
Very athletic spread quarterback. Can leave the pocket and take advantage of his athleticism. More development in timing is needed.
The Rest:
8. Sean Mannion, Oregon State
9. Jacoby Brissett, North Carolina State
10. Brandon Bridge, South Alabama
