Texans running back Arian Foster has come forward in an ESPN show yet to be aired and admitted to taking illegal benefits at the University of Tennessee. Foster says that his coach brought him and a few other players a meal at a time that they were dead broke and hungry.
This isn’t shocking because it happens all the time. My only question is why would Foster wait years later to snitch? What benefit will Foster receive from doing this?
Athletes need to be paid while they are in college, period. We all know this. However guys like Foster coming forward and throwing it in the NCAA’s faces that they took benefits on the side is not going to help the case.
