The San Francisco 49ers have a good problem. In a down year for quarterbacks, they have one of the few quarterbacks on the market with experience and a young quarterback already in the fold. That means that Mr. Alex Smith is an asset that can be traded to the highest bidder.
According to CBSSports.com’s Jason LaCanfora a deal has been reached with a mystery team.
The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. Can’t be finalized til league year begins 3/12

Teams that could use Smith’s services include Kansas City, Jacksonville, New York Jets, and Buffalo. We’ll find out in a few days where Alex Smith will be traded.
