Giants Scouts Reportedly Eyeing Shedeur Sanders as Future QB1
The buzz around Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow, and...
I currently have UNC Sophomore Giovani Bernard as the top runner in the 2013 draft class with Marcus Lattimore of South Carolina battling his knee injury. It is basically a no-brainer for Bernard to go ahead and enter the draft in such a soft running back year. That is exactly what #26 did when he announced today that he will be leaving Chapel Hill and taking his talents to the NFL Draft.
Here is what he had to say:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my three years in Chapel Hill and coming to UNC was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” said Bernard in a statement released ahead of the press conference. “I feel like the best decision for my future is to enter the NFL draft this year. I want to thank Coach Fedora, this coaching staff and the previous coaching staff for putting me in a position to succeed. I am on track to graduate and I plan on coming back to earn my degree in the Spring of 2014.”
A team like the Bengals, Steelers, Falcons, and even Jets could all have their eye on Bernard. With his ability to contribute right away on special teams, he is going to get a lot of people interested.
