Giants Scouts Reportedly Eyeing Shedeur Sanders as Future QB1
The buzz around Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow, and...
After the week that Robert Griffin and his Baylor Bears had, you knew this post was coming. The biggest name buzzing around in Heisman circles is none other than Robert Griffin III.
It is not just that Baylor upset Oklahoma, it was the way they did it and when. With a BCS title game birth on the line, all the Sooners had to do was get out of Waco, Texas with a W anyway they could and they were just 11 seconds from doing that before Griffin threw the dagger that won the game for the Bears.
All season Robert has been impressive. He opened the season with a win over TCU in which he posted video game numbers (21 of 27, 359 yards, 5 touchdowns and NO interceptions). The following two weeks he threw a total 8 touchdowns to just 6 incomplete passes. He was on a roll.
Baylor hit a little lull with two losses in a row to Texas A&M and Oklahoma State, but the way Griffin is finishing the season there is no way you cannot consider him in the 2011 Heisman Race. All in all, it looks like Griffin will replace Brandon Weeden as the #2 runner up to Andrew Luck. Remember Luck has a season ending game versus Notre Dame that he’s undoubtedly going to stockpile stats at. If he struggles then it will be Robert Griffin III’s Heisman to lose.
