Giants Scouts Reportedly Eyeing Shedeur Sanders as Future QB1
The buzz around Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues to grow, and...
He is a fantastic runner, but has a long way to go as a passer.
In the Broncos win today over Oakland the Broncos unveiled a shotgun based spread option that up to this point had not been seen from offensive coordinator Mike McCoy’s offense. Tebow thrived as a runner, as he should, scampering for 117 carries. Willis McGahee went off for 163 yards and two touchdowns as well.
As a passer, Tebow still played below average (or below Kyle Orton, however you want to word that). He only completed 10-21 passes which again puts Tebow at the 48% completion mark. Tebow has consistently shown he cannot complete more than 48% of his passes.
That is not hate, those are just the stats folks. It is what it is. The Broncos have found an effective way to move the ball in spite of Tebow’s limitations and we have to wait until this Spring to see if John Fox is going to hitch himself long term to the Tebow horse. Right now it looks like Elway Fox and Xanders will have to make a move to bring in someone who can at least compete for that starting Quarterback spot.
