2012 NFL Mock Draft: Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are a team in a tough place. Last year, some how some way Pete Carroll’s team made the playoffs AND defeated the defending Super Bowl Champions in the first round of the playoffs.

An ugly contract dispute with Matt Hasselbeck quickly killed all positive momentum of that playoff run and good ol’ Pete was left to find a new QB in free agency. The guy he picked, Tavaris Jackson, has played nothing short of inconsistent and backup Charlie Whitehurst isn’t going to lead you to a Lombardi in this Universe.

Where do the Seahawks turn for help in the 2012 draft? Last year they choose to go lineman and took the guard James Carpenter in the first round. Rookie K.J. Wright was a nice surprise who made former #3 overall pick Aaron Curry expendable. Can the Hawks hit on some draft magic this year? Member davidk shared his thoughts on the Seahawks draft.

1	Seahawks		Barkley, Matt QB from USC I have them picking around 6-8 so if Matts gone don be surprised if RG3 goes here
2	Seahawks		Polk, Chris RB from Washington Psychical back with speed= perfect replacement for Marshawn Lynch
3	Seahawks		Ingram, Melvin DE from South Carolina Chris Clemons in getting up there in age (30) so it is a nice addition to the D-line
4	Seahawks		Spence, Sean OLB from Miami Leroy Hill is also getting old-again nice additonALERT- also could go with Desmond Trufant- Marcus’s Brother assuming he declares.
5	Seahawks		Chapman, Josh DT from Alabama Could be another DT but this a position to get deeper for the future
6	Seahawks		Hosley, Jayron CB from Virginia Tech If Trufant is taken earlier than they will look to upgrade LB again
7	Seahawks		Miller, Julian DE from West Virginia Just hoping in the 7th
