It came out this week that Vince Young considered retirement just after playing one season in the NFL. He hasn’t said why but you have to imagine the immense pressure of being a NFL Quarterback probably got to him. I wonder sometimes about these young guys coming into the NFL because many of them are not ready for that amount of pressure.
You have to remember that many of these kids are aged 20-22 and not even college graduates. Meaning their last job likely was at a Burger King, Foot Locker, or Walmart. To go from that kind of job to the bright lights may be too much for some.
I can’t wait to see how Matt Ice stays cool in the ATL next year.
